Country Dancing
We have just come back from a fantastic morning of Country Dancing at Tredegar House. Twelve primary schools came together to perform beautiful Welsh country dances outside! The weather was very kind to us and it was wonderful to see all the colourful costumes. A very big thank you to all the children who have worked hard all year in readiness for this festival - we were sooo proud of you - you were wonderful! Another thank you to the parents who came to support them. Finally, I want to personally thank Mrs Brown and Meg Brown who have been invaluable in their support of me throughout this year.

Cycle, Scoot or Walk to School
Enormous
thanks must go to our extremely supportive PTA. Today they organised the ever popular Cycle, Scoot
or Walk to School, which is always a huge success and raised over £480 for
school funds. The children all enjoyed the day and had lots of fun. The school
would like to thank the children for taking part, the
parents for supporting the day (we really recognise and appreciate the efforts
that you go to) and our fantastic PTA for organising such a
successful event. Thank you.

Dear Parents,

Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed the half term break. As we look forward to a busy final half term of the school year we have some important dates for your diary. (All of these dates are available to view on the school website under school dates).
School Equipment
The school is investing in new outdoor equipment for the infant and junior yards. Please could parents be mindful that pupils and siblings should not be playing on equipment before or after school. We would like to keep our current equipment in good condition for all pupils.

As we are finally getting some lovely sunny weather, just a reminder, please can pupils come to school suitably dressed (no bare shoulders) with a hat, sunglasses and sun tan cream already applied. Dear Parent,
As you know, the country dancing festival will take place on Saturday 8th June from 10.15am to 12.30pm. However, due to unforeseen industrial action St Fagan's will be closed. Therefore dancing will now take place in the grounds of Tredegar House near Newport which will be well signposted from the entrance gate. Please arrive between 9.30 and 9.45 for registration. Dancing will begin at 10.15am. We are aware this is short notice but confirmation of the new venue was only given late last night (Monday).
Wet Weather Arrangements: The festival will go ahead at Tredegar House whatever the weather. If it rains, dancing will take place indoors which again will be well signposted. As we are unable to accommodate all schools indoors at the same time there will be two dance sessions 10.15-11.15 and 11.30-12.30pm. See below for the time of your slot. ,Please could you arrive 15 minutes early to register.
