End of term at Pontyclun - Have a great holiday

The end of the school year was very sad as we said farewell and good luck to three special members of staff. After many years of dedication and hard work Mrs. Thomas in the Nursery and Mrs. Coles in the Juniors have decided to retire and have a well earned rest. Over the years, their contribution to the school has been enormous and they will be hugely missed come September.
Mrs. Utting has been teaching in reception this year and moves to a new role at Maesybryn school. Both the staff and children have loved having Mrs. Utting at Pontyclun, and wish her the very best in her new job.

A huge thank you to all the parents who dug deep to support the school via the CCFC penalty shoot out. The event raised £1600 for school funds and all of the children had a lot of fun. Pictured, are the top 12 fund raisers. Our top fundraiser actually received a shirt that has been signed by the entire first team squad. Well done and thank you to all the pupils and parents who worked so hard to raise funds for the school. We really appreciate it.

Every year our fantastic PTA organise a prom night for the year 6 children who are about to move onto comprehensive school. The children really enjoy it, and have asked me to say a huge thank you to the PTA, they had a ball!!

Ponyclun's Got Talent was a fantastic way to end the year. Once again, we were amazed by the huge amount of different talents and skills the children in our school have. Well done to all who took part, you were fantastic. A special mention has to be made to our three finalists, two in year 6 and one in the infants, you could hear a pin drop as the whole school watched your performances. Well done you were fantastic.
