Dear Parents,
Unfortunately due to the poor weather throughout August, the roof of the Infant building has not been finished. As a result, building work will continue for possibly the next 3 weeks.
This will result in certain access restrictions for the different infant classes, which will impact on the dropping off and picking up of children.
The safety and welfare of the children and yourselves is paramount in the arrangements that we have taken, and these arrangements have been agreed by the buildings department and the health and safety department of the the local education authority.
Tomorrow morning, a number of staff will be stationed around the infant building guiding parents to the appropriate drop of points/ class accesses. These will also be the points for collection at the end of the school day.
I apologise for the inconvenience that the unfinished building work may cause, but we are working very hard to ensure the works are completed as quickly and safely as possible.
A short parents information evening will be held in the main school hall on Tuesday 7th September at 5 pm, for any parents who may have issues or concerns regarding the building work.
Yours faithfully
H Roberts
