I have been informed by Y Pant Comprehensive, that the buses going to Morfa Bay on Friday 22nd June will be picking up our Year 6 children from Pontyclun Primary School (Library Road) AND NOT at Y Pant car park. The pick up time has not changed. I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. A Llewellyn Acting Deputy Headteacher

Photographer and Drayton Manor information

Dear Parents I would like to inform you that the Photographer is coming to school on Monday 18 June. He has rung to advise me that he will be available from 3 p.m. onward to take photographs of your child together with siblings or children from other schools at this time, if you so wish. Just a quick reminder about Drayton Manor. Pupils must wear their school jumpers but can wear any suitable trousers/skirts of their liking. Please provide your child with a packed lunch (no glass bottles) and no more than £10 pocket money. Please arrange for your child to be in school no later than 7.45 a.m. as registration will take place prior to leaving. We estimate that we will arrive back at school (library gates)at approximately 5.30 p.m. We will update this blog if this time changes. Please do not park close to the school gates as the buses will need to have room to park. Yours sincerely S Harwood Acting Headteacher

Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

What a lovely day we had celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Year 2 put on a special performance for grandparents in the morning. They entertained the visitors with a variety songs that celebrated the Queen's reign. The afternoon was party time. The entire school played enormous games of musical statues, musical bumps and musical chairs. Each class had a dancing competition and the afternoon was completed with party food and juice. The children had a great time. Thank you to the parents for providing the party food, and the school must say a special thank you to Mrs. Caldwell and Mrs. Williams for the beautiful decorations.
