End of year at Pontyclun Primary

Another school year is drawing to a close, and the children are enjoying the end of term events before looking forward to September. This is always a very busy and sad time of year at our school, we say farewell to year 6, and celebrate all that they have achieved during their time at Pontyclun Primary. This year 6 cohort have been a pleasure to teach and have been a credit to the school. We wish them all the very best as they move onto secondary school, and we will look forward to seeing them as they "pop in" to see us all in the not too distant future.

School Prom Year 6 Year 6 Leavers Concert Pontyclun Primary School Fete 2012. What an amazing day, the PTA organised a superb fete this year. Despite the rain the fete went ahead and was well attended. There were loads of fun activities to keep the children and adults entertained, as can be seen by the photographs. The PTA raised £2500 which is a staggering amount (particularly in view of the weather). Thank you to all of the PTA members and helpers for all of their efforts, and a huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come along. Fingers crossed for a sunny day next year.

Car Parking Enforcement

Dear Parents

A Governor at the School has made us aware that RCT Council will now have responsibility for enforcing correct parking by fining people who park on double yellow lines or ignore parking restriction signs.

The Scheme starts on 1 August 2012

I thought this information might be of use to you for when term begins in September 2012.

Yours sincerely
