Last Saturday our Country Dance members joined children from across South Wales to enjoy the Children's Festival Of Dance at St. Fagans. It was a wonderfully sunny day to dance on the grass to a live band. The pupils were watched by visitors to St. Fagans and parents alike who picnicked - until being asked to join in. The children showed off their dancing skills and a great time was had by all. The school has taken part in the festival for many years under the amazing direction of Mrs. Reed. This year’s performance was very special for her as she is taking a long earned break this summer when she plans to retire. She will be very sorely missed at Pontyclun and the children, parents and staff are so grateful to her for the time and effort that she has devoted to developing country dance (among so many other areas) at Pontyclun Primary.

Dorothy
Dear Parents
It is with great sadness that we heard that Auntie Dorothy passed away during the half term holidays. As you are no doubt aware, Auntie Dorothy was a member of our lunchtime staff for many, many years and in that time was a loyal and trusted colleague and friend.
The suddeness of her passing was certainly a shock to us all and a dearly loved and special character will be deeply missed. I am sure you will join with us in sending our deepest condolences to her family.
We will be holding a remembrance assembly with the children next week.
If parents wish to make a donation, please send it c/o Mr David Speed, 2 High Street, Brynsadler as all donations will be forwarded on to the Ty Hafan Childrens Hospice.
Yours sincerely,
H Roberts
